MICRODOLLY was up in Northern Canada with Director of Photography Rich Lerner.
"The location was a huge meteorite impact crater in the polar desert of Devon Island," said Lerner. "This is one of the most Mars-like environments on Earth. It was here that the MARS Society built their first prototype of a simulated Habitat for human exploration of the Martian planet. We were there for ten weeks shooting for the Discovery Channel."
"I'm always looking for that extra creative edge and for this sequence we used a move with our MICRODOLLY JIB to show the scale of the Habitat as one of the astronauts came out to work." concluded Lerner.
