MICRODOLLY CALENDAR was on location with Cinematographer Rob Pignolet. "We were working in Arnhem Land, way up at the top end of Australia," said Pignolet. "The shoot was for a film on Aboriginal art and rock paintings."
"Producer Peter Hylands wanted a view of the local town from the top of Injalak Hill, a special aboriginal site," continued Pignolet. "It was 40 degrees C (104 Fahrenheit), and we had to climb with our gear up along narrow canyon walls for more than an hour to reach the peak. For shots like this the MICRODOLLY JIB has to be my favorite piece of gear, lightweight and so portable."
